Spoken OSCE practice

Talk to your patient. Out loud.

OSCEY puts you in the cubicle with a simulated patient who answers, pushes back and holds their own agenda. Consult with your voice, run the full mock circuit in your exam's real format, then read a debrief that names exactly where you lost marks.

How it works

Read the brief. Walk in. Speak.

An OSCE is a performance, not a quiz. OSCEY rehearses the performance: the reading time outside the door, the consultation itself, and the marking afterwards.

OSCEY candidate brief for a breathlessness station: the setting, your task, your role, and how findings work

Read the candidate brief

The door opens when the reading clock ends. You get the setting, the patient and your task — nothing more, exactly like the real thing.

Consult out loud

The patient answers, holds their own agenda and reacts to how you ask. Request an examination aloud and the findings are released when you have earned them.

OSCEY station debrief with a practice score, domain breakdown and skill changes OSCEY station debrief in dark mode with domain breakdown

Read the debrief

A domain-by-domain breakdown against your exam's criteria — what you met, what you missed, and the full transcript of what you actually said.

The differentiator

A real circuit. Timed rests included.

Anyone can quiz you on one patient. OSCEY runs the whole day: your exam's published number of stations, with timed rest stations where they actually fall. You feel the pace and the fatigue before it costs you.

The debrief

Marked against your exam's criteria. Domain by domain.

Not a score and a shrug. You see which criteria you met, which you missed, what a stronger answer would have covered — and the transcript, so you can hear yourself being a doctor.

Met

Assessed severity and red flags before moving to management.

Missed

Did not quantify exercise tolerance — the detail the checklist was waiting for.

Example from a single practice station. OSCEY scores are practice estimates, never exam results.

Coverage

It tells you what to practise next.

The clinical radar tracks coverage and performance across specialties and skills, then points at the single most useful station to attempt next. Revision stops being guesswork.

27clinical specialties, chest pain to capacity
6exam formats, each in its published shape
4marking domains tracked after every station

Your Case Codex keeps every case you have met, so revision is a list of your own consultations — not someone else's notes.

Questions

Asked at 11pm, answered plainly.

Six to start. The full FAQ goes deeper on circuits, scoring, privacy and each exam.

Is OSCEY affiliated with the GMC, AMC, MCC, MCNZ or the RCSI?

No. OSCEY is an independent practice tool published by veridir. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by any examining body. Exam names describe who the app is built for.

Are OSCEY scores real exam results?

No. Every score is a practice estimate based on checklist coverage in a single station. It is not an official exam result, not a prediction of your result, and not clinical advice.

Which exams does OSCEY cover?

Mock circuits for PLAB 2, UKMLA CPSA, AMC Clinical, NZREX Clinical, NAC OSCE and PRES Level 3, plus a general medical-school OSCE track.

Do I have to speak out loud?

Yes — that is the point. You consult with your voice, exactly as you will on the day. Microphone audio is processed by Google Gemini to run the conversation and the assessment, and is not retained after the station.

Do I need an account to try it?

No. Several preview stations are free with no account needed. Full Access is an optional subscription that opens every station and complete mock circuits.

What happens in a mock circuit?

You work a full circuit in your exam's published format — 16 stations plus 2 timed rests for PLAB 2 and UKMLA CPSA, 16 plus 4 for AMC Clinical, 14 for NZREX, 12 slots for NAC OSCE, 12 plus 2 for PRES Level 3. Rest stations are timed and land where they would on the day.

Your next station is waiting behind the door.

Download OSCEY, pick a free preview station, and say: "Hello, I'm one of the doctors. What brought you in today?" The rest of the circuit is practice.
